Intellectual Property

All text, images, and other content featured on this website are the intellectual property of Mayu's Kitchen & Co. and may not be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without prior written authorisation from Mayu's Kitchen & Co.

Minimum Order Value

A minimum order value of HK$6,000 applies for all private chef services per occasion.

Transportation Fee

Clients are responsible for the round-trip taxi fare from our premises in Kennedy Town to the event venue and back. The minimum charge for a one-way journey is HK$100.

Order Cut-Off Time

Orders must be confirmed at least 7 days prior to the event date.

Booking and Payment Terms

  • To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of either the minimum order value (HK$6,000) or 50% of the total order value — whichever is higher — is required upon confirmation.
  • The remaining balance must be cleared in our bank account no later than 3 full working days prior to the event date to allow for ingredient procurement and preparation.
  • Late or incomplete payments may result in menu adjustments or, in extreme cases, cancellation of the service. We reserve the right to modify the menu without prior notice in such circumstances.

Additional Charges

  • Stair carry fee: HK$100 per flight of stairs when the venue has no elevator access. Please inform us in advance of any access challenges.
  • Parking fees: If parking is unavailable at the venue, any incurred parking charges will be passed on to the client. Please notify us in advance if parking is not provided.

Payment Methods

Payments may be made via bank transfer, ATM deposit, or online bank transfer at no additional charge. Credit card payments are not currently accepted.

Equipment and Facilities

The event venue must provide a fully functional kitchen with appropriate cookware and utensils. Should you require crockery, glassware, or cutlery, a separate quotation will be provided. Equipment rental is not available.

Staffing

Additional staff such as professional servers or cleaners are available upon request and will be quoted separately.

Menu Substitutions

We reserve the right to substitute menu items based on seasonal availability and market conditions, with or without prior notice. Requested substitutions may be accommodated when possible.

Date Changes

Any request to reschedule the event received less than 3 calendar days before the original date will incur a minimum administrative fee of HK$1,000, plus full reimbursement for any perishable ingredients already purchased or prepared (up to 100% of their cost).

Changes and Cancellations

  1. All requests for date changes, menu changes, or cancellations must be submitted in writing to hello@mayuskit.com.
  2. Requests received 7 or more calendar days before the event:
    – Date changes may be accommodated subject to availability and any applicable administrative fees (see “Date Changes” above). Deposits may, at our sole discretion, be transferred to the new confirmed date.
  3. Requests received fewer than 7 calendar days before the event:
    – No refunds or credits will be issued.
    – All payments already made, or that have become due under the payment schedule, will be forfeited in full.
  4. For the avoidance of doubt, once a booking is confirmed, no refunds are provided under any circumstances except where expressly stated otherwise in these Terms and Conditions.
    We strongly recommend that clients obtain appropriate event or travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.

On-Site Contact

Please provide the name and mobile number of an on-site contact person who will be available to grant access to the chef. This person must be present 90–120 minutes prior to the event start time (exact arrival time to be confirmed closer to the date).

Privacy Policy

Mayu's Kitchen & Co. respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.
Collection of Personal Data – We collect only the information necessary to provide our services (name, contact details, event address, payment information).
Use of Personal Data – Your data is used solely for booking fulfilment, communication, payment processing, and service improvement.
Disclosure – We do not sell or share your data with third parties except as required to deliver the service or by law.
Your Rights – You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by writing to hello@mayuskit.com.
