Helper Cooking Class Aug/Sep 2024

Thanksgiving & Christmas, Festive season is around the corner!

Starting on 12 Nov 2024! , our workshops will include  low-fat, gluten free Festive cooking, & Japan-Hokkaido's favoite , as well as our healthy-well balanced Japanese menu ( See the menu below) 

Helper's Cooking Class start on 12 Nov 2024, Tuesday 10am. then every Tuesday, 2 to 3 hours per day,  4-day course over  4 weeks , +20 recipes (See the menu below).

Schedule:  12, 19, 26 Nov & 3 Dec 2024. ( Every Tuesday)

Time: 10am-1pm  Hands-on 2 to 3 hour session with the option to stay and eat, or take the food away.  

Location :  Mayu's Kitchen. & Co. ( Kennedy Town / near MTR HKU )  

Fees: Package of 4 classes.  HK$ 750per class per helper  Total is HK$ 3000HKD or  Single-shot 830 HKD per class per helper)

- Well-balanced meal setting: Ichiju-sansai. 一汁三菜
- Japanese table-setting/etiquette 
- Master of Basic Japanese Ingredient & Condiments  
- Basic Dashi - broth

1  Chicken Oden (Winter favorite in Dashi broth) 
2. Napa cabbage & sesame  Ohitashi
3. Spinach & mushroom shira-ae 
5. Miso soup 
6. Homemade furikake ( Japanese rice seasoning) 

19 NOV - Class 2: Hokkaido Food Journey
-Learn Hokkaido as the famous food capital of Japan!  Exploring Hokkaido through your taste buds is a delicious journey.  
-Master of Basic Japanese Ingredient & Condiments  

1.Hokkaido Miso Ramen
2.Nitamago (Ramen Egg)
3.Kani-Tofu-Yaki ( Crab & Tofu Dumpling )
4.Seaweed salad 
5.Goma-Purin (Sesame milk flan) 

26 Nov 26 - Class3   Surprisingly Healthy Festive Menu (Thanksgiving /Christmas )
-Technique of moist turkey / chicken
-Preparation, Cutting up  whole chicken/turkey
-GF side dish and appetizers

1 Moist roasted  chicken
2 Gluten free stuffing (V)
3 Kale (wreath) salad with yuzu (lemon) sauce (GF V)
4 Low-calorie Hummus  & variations.(GF V)
5 Caviar Argergine  (GF) 
*During Class, students practice with whole chickens
